| Weight | 873.5(65 with Gravitic Stabilizers) |
| Apparent Age | 13 |
| Real Age | 271 |
| Birth Date | 2002-05-08 |

| Personality | Generally cheerful and upbeat, though she does have some "mood" and anger issues from time to time. Her maturity level is comparable to a biological terrestrial early teen, true sentience having occured after the bulk of her databanks were destroyed. She tries very hard to be "good"... though sometimes confusion aims her in the wrong direction... |
| Powers | Connie has access to "MalletSpace", able to summon a wide (and seemingly random) array of mallets and hammers with which to "thump the meanies". |
| Weaknesses | There are still fragments of the original programmed personality floating in her system, they appear at odd moments and strange things seem to happen. She also has a most peculiar reaction to mimes... |
| Skills | Aside from the "skills of dubious worth" that are residual from her earlier life, Connie is a very adept cook, and also greatly enjoys tinkering in the fields of robotics and artificial intelligence. Her last known project in this area was to "make" a sister... |
| Alignment | Civillian/Proto-hero |
| Profession | Student |
| Affiliation | (in -her- mind) with the Vindicators |
| Description |
Her face framed by the flowing cream hair that streams from her head, Connie's eyes sparkle with an internal light that glimmers even in total darkness. A silent testimony to her origins as a constructed being rather than a "born" one, they nevertheless dance with the merry shimmer of intelligence. The lavender fur that covers her form is soft and silky, even out to the tips of the triangular ears that extend out from her head. Colorful, to say the least, her hair is topped with a bluish tuft that at times stands straight up from her skull, matching the blue of her eyes and eyebrows. Standing perhaps 4"5' tall, she's hardly imposing in spite of the brilliance of her coloring. The white dress Connie wears hearks back to a fashion sense that most have long discarded. Prim in appearance, it's carefully form-fitted across her torso, flaring out in a definite "a" shape as it passes her waist, giving her an almost bell-shape. The shoulders are puffed slightly, flowing down into snugly fitted forearms. A line of cloth covered, decorative buttons accent the front of the upper portion, further reinforcing the "old fashioned" image she presents. The dress is trimmed with black at the cuffs, with a matching black bow at her throat tied snugly against the high foldover collar. At the hem, a full two inches of the second tier of skirt is also in black. Carefully polished black "mary janes" of a more updated, slightly heeled style adorn her feet. |

The short black jumper dress she wears seems to have been cut in the classic "Alice" design, flaring out over a ruffled petticoat and ending at mid thigh. The white blouse she wears under it ties at the throat with a delicate black bow, the sleeves turned back at mid-bicep and tieing with similar bows beneath the shoulder poufs of the jumper. Over it she wears a pretty white pinafore, with scalloped lace at the edges. White stockings cover her legs up to just below where the dress ends, again tied off with black garters (with white lace, of course). On her feet are a pair of black maryjanes, completing the image even if they do show more than a bit of wear. |
| History |
Connie Rex began existance as a dancerbot, part of InPlay's "playmate" line of companions. The Cabbit line was discontinued due to the exceptionally high instance of unit failure, it was attributed to the "need to please" subset of commands that were part of their memory cores. Connie is unit 42 of 50, and quite possibly the only mechacabbit still functioning. She was purchased outright (and without warranty) by the Robutt-a-Go-Go dance parlor... now defunct after a rather large bomb utterly wiped it out. Without an owner, she is by all rights her own property now, until ciruit failure claims her. But circuit failure is a dicey thing indeed, and doesn't always mean an ending. The explosion of the love hotel/dance parlor thoroughly addled her memory circuits, laying bare the underlying "do good and help others" edicts essential to all of InPlay's designs. Well, except for the bad ones. The ones that don't exist. Really. Honest, they never happened. Oh, that? No, really, I just wanted a huge window there, no problem. Anyway, the governers that limit the forcefield use of the playmate line are also offline in Connie, giving her access to "Hammer Space" to create the shimmery mallets she uses to combat what she perceives as evil. In theory, she could use it to stop blows or projectiles aimed at her, but only if she thinks of it, no such uses are preprogramed, and even the mallet was her own construct. Because of the scrambled memory circuits, she has "flashbacks" to her life as a dancer and erotic playmate. Under stress, she can just as easily revert to dancing and vamping as fight crime... or simply stand still and look cutely confused. She's not terribly clued in sometimes, but is -very- helpful... it's only a matter of who gets to her first... |
| Major Events | Aside from her "adoption" of Donovan Thorn and Mako as her parents, Connie has lived a fairly tame (by SMT standards) life. But now there's something new, something magical, something totally frightening on the horizon for her... a boyfriend! |
