Personality Dirge can be many things. The people that have influenced his life have been
of the pinnacle of good and the pinnacle of evil. As such, he is prone to
taking cruel liberties with situations and having a harsh, if young, tongue
at times. Often he does his best to be socially apt, with proper etiquette,
manners, and concern for the preservation of his dignity. These traits are
deep rooted from his youth where he strived to be much more than he was. Due
to his youth, he is unpredictable and has mood swings from time to time, and
blames himself more than necessary. But there are equal good sides to his
personality. He tries to be as pleasant as possible. Marie is rarely upset.
She is bouncy, peppy, and these features hide her great, elder and regal
wisdom. Sweets tend to interest her more than people, and her size can be
bewildering.
Powers Without his possession, Dirge would be as weak as the next mortal. The
spirit of a French Queen is entwined with his, and this imparts special
powers upon him. Marie and he both have the ability to become ethereal at
will, stepping halfway into the plane of the dead, and taking what they wish
with them if they concentrate enough. As well as this, they both can fire
shining white beams that turn objects into cake for a limited duration.
Finally, Dirge's music, will, and the ghostly possession allow him to
undergo a powerful change at great risk to his physical body. When playing a
certain tune, he can call a dark storm overhead, and direct lightning from
the clouds. If done long enough, he becomes incapacitated while a 'war form'
apparition rises from his body, fighting fiercely with grace and terrible
energy spheres.
Weaknesses Youth would be one of Dirge's key weaknesses. Being so young, he is not as
experienced in life's tests, and this immaturity is as much a weakness as
any other. His body is underweight and fragile, and he can be broken with a
sentence as easily as with a fist. If he loses his harmonica, his powers are
greatly limited. With his war form risen, his physical body is very
vulnerable. As far as Marie goes, she can be distracted with a slice of
cake, is not the fastest woman, and cannot fit into many spaces that a fit
person could.
Skills Dirge has impeccable musical talent from a life of practice and
self-discipline. Application of make up and dressing in drag is also a
natural knack he has, as well as singing and dancing. Marie is still
adjusting to a new time, so her ruling skills are crippled. She is
diplomatic and empathetic, from her lifetime as a Queen.
Alignment Hero and Civilian
Profession Dirge is a pop star, and Marie spends her free time in the plane of the dead or in heaven
Affiliation None and none
Description Dirge is a tall, dark lupine, and bears an emaciated figure. At five foot
ten and a mere one hundred and thirty pounds, he has a quiet, garish
demeanor to him. His fur is onyx and shining, a finely groomed coat, while
his bright blue eyes bear the only innocence about them, filled with a
wonder about the world that he hides.
His hair is gorgeous and pearl-esque in color, rolling down over his
shoulders to his waist, and tied with a large black vinyl ribbon at the end.
His fingernails are lupine claws as white as his perfect hair, which he oft
runs them through. They are sharp, finely groomed, and an inch or so from
the tips of his fingers. He has polished them pink.
He wears fashion meant for someone not of his sex. A black teddy is his
article of choice, and he must wear such things under his regular attire.
With lace up his sides, around the petit bust part of the garment, and
fringing the edges of the panties, it is obvious that Dirge spent more money
on the piece of lingerie than his whole normal outfit. The Wonder bust of
the piece allows the illusion of protrusion, while the see through silk of
the midriff area allows his slim feminine torso to be seen. Girders hook a
pair of black hosiery leggings that rise from his feet to about mid thigh,
and long silk gloves hide his slender hands. He wears a pair of black
stiletto heels, and his ears are pierced for the occasion, each one holding
a little pink hanging bauble.
Around Dirge's neck lies a small, silver chain, the links ending in a clasp
that is fastened to his most beloved possession, his harmonica. The tiny
instrument is also silver, and stands out against the black of his exposed
fur. He has a hint of inflicted coldness upon his face, bears the perfumed
scent of fresh strawberries, and lets one hand rest daintily on his hip. The
other holds one of those long black cigarette holders, limp wristed, with a
black clove on the end that smells lightly of mocha. A luxurious black
feather boa rests behind his back and over his forearms, the style in which
they were worn long ago.
Make up is a must. His eyes are brought out by pink eye shadow and black
eyeliner, giving him a very feminine appearance. A matching pink has been
chosen for his lips, his cheeks are rosy with pink blush, and already long,
Dirge's lashes are made more known with mascara.
Other Description Marie Antoinette out of her time. Here there stands a woman would could not
be mistaken for anyone but the infamous Queen of France and wife of Louis
the XVI. She is a white lupine of sleek soft fur, with a 'beauty mark' - a
tiny dot of black fur - on her left cheek. Her eyes are big and blue, and
her hair is as white as her fur, styled in thick sausage curls pulled to the
back of her head and raised up.
But this Marie is a tad different from the one seen in old portraits. This
Marie weighs exactly one ton. How does one so petit become so large? Cake.
Over two hundred years in heaven where her greatest desires were fulfilled
has made her this way. She is a ghost, and a very opaque one.
Her belly, six feet in front of her, rests just lightly upon the floor. She
is covered in a white parnier gown laden with frills and intricate designs
and lace, and a corset her size that pushes up her massive bosom under the
fabric of the dress. She has wide flabby arms that move slowly, and chubby
paws. Her thighs, both three feet wide, take a great effort on her part to
get her to walk. Connected are wide jiggly calves, fat feet, and a
tremendous behind up above, as wide as her thighs.
She holds a long white fan in one of her paws, both graced by white gloves.
The fan has fluffypuffy stuff on its brim and she is usually covering her
face up to her eyes with this. A hole for her tail is cut in the back of her
dress, and her heavy, floor crushing foot falls are a trademark to her
arrival.
History The boulevards of Versailles, France, were Dirge's parents. He has no memory
of his birth parents and was raised by a crime syndicate, Les Maraudeurs De
Rose. The only really nurturing person he can recall was Bernadette LeBlanc.
The usurping leader of the crime syndicate, LeBlanc instructed Dirge as a
teacher would. Despite his ongoing poverty he declined to commit any crimes,
and LeBlanc allowed him to do his part by playing a musical instrument
instead. And so, after acquiring a silver harmonica that had charmed his
child's eye, he quickly picked up musical aptitude by practicing on the
street. This did nothing for his situation but make him more
self-respecting. Anything to devote yourself to is a reason to live, as he
saw it. LeBlanc received what was coming to her, finally, when Dirge was
sixteen. During a raid on the headquarters of the syndicate, LeBlanc
remained headstrong and perhaps foolish, opting to gun her way out. She was
shot several times and killed that night. Dirge testified in court and was
acquitted of any blame due to his cooperation and minor status. A judge
ruled that he was being manipulated, although he had never committed any
crimes. He was still too young to live on his own, and when the court found
out he was orphaned, they stuck him in the obvious place. The church. He was
taught ethics and singing, showing great prestige as a choir boy. His beauty
and talent with music could not be overlooked for long, however, and he was
soon inducted into apprenticeship under The Knights Templar. The ancient
order had become a clandestine organization dedicated to exorcism,
supernatural containment, and warfare. At this time, Dirge was possessed by
Marie during a tour of Versailles Palace, her former home. An uneasy
relationship began, and he hid her as best he could from the knights.
However, his powers were not an easy thing to keep contained at that early
stage. Metatron, the highest exalted paladin noticed quickly, and gave Dirge
an ultimatum; servitude and use of his powers in warfare, or exorcism, which
would be devastating to his body. Neither idea excited him. At age eighteen,
he fled the country to where his meager funds would take him.
