| Description | Midnight-forged steel entombs this leopard's chest, sprouting forth shoulder guards like petals from its center. Arising from this cold flower, the Vigilante's strong neck, jaws, and skull sprout forth covered in aged gold and pitch rosettes. Silken tresses offset the hardened face, falling mid-spine behind him, and to his neck before, partially concealing the ebon metal mask circling his the green lenses that protect his eyes and sending spines to cover his tear marks. From his ear protrudes a short antenna, linking him to various communications. Beyond and beneath the armor lies leather, defining his stomach muscles and covering his right arm in sleeve and glove. His left arm bears only a glove, however, leaving free a blackened metal limb formed to match his flesh. Dual ammunition belts ring his waist, bearing the heavy shells of 'Destiny', the massive rifle kept strapped to his back, a stylized V holding them together. |
| Other Description | A tall, medium built leopard bearing both youthful confidence and naivity, with an accent born from fiction. His lusterous hair falls across his shoulders, and his bangs cover the right side of his face. A black cloth is wrapped around his face, cut to reveal his bright emerald eyes and hide his identity. Over a black, buttoned down, long sleeved, flared collar shirt he wears a strange metal breastplate and rounded shoulderguards. His left arm has been replaced by a mechanical limb, his right hand bearing an ash gray fingerless glove with blackened steel knuckle caps. His pants are sheenless black leather, held up by a gray gun belt, and tucked into engineer boots. A rifle holster keeps his pet gun 'End Game' attatched to his back and ready for use. |
| History | Born and raised in some dark part of the jungle, Leonardo Peerless seperated from his mother at about his fifth year. Like the rest of his people, he could take down prey his size at this point. Especially curious by nature, young Leo never bothered to claim a territory, instead wandering around and exploring the jungle at its neighboring biomes. His fascination brought him to remote mountains and lonely deserts, where he occassionally would find an odd item or scent of the civilzed world, though he'd never find the source.
Upon returning to his home after one of his excursions, the teen-aged leopard found a concentration of those strange scents, and even stranger ones. Hunting down the source of these, the jungle was found to be utterly silent, and the smell of his fellow beasts was concentrated at the same point. To his horror, he discovered an encampment, surrounded by captured beasts of every shape and size, and the corpses of those that had been slaughtered for their hides and other parts. To him and his people, death was just part of life, but imprisonment and useless slaughter was simply alien. Before he could recover from the shock of the situation, a heavy thud on the back of his head put him out, until he later awoke.. caged. Surrounding him with strange new scents, sounds, sights, and rifles was a team of poachers from mysterious civilization. However, it was those three who didn't poke at him with knives and laugh out wretched, confusing insults that filled the confused panther with the greatest fear. A bulky, bearded feline bearing an ivory tusk-hewn cane in one hand proved to be the leader of the group, referred to as "Poach Master". With him, a tall girl dressed in jungle garb, who seemed to be the feline's daughter by their interactions. Behind the two, the most frightening of all, a strange beast with four spider-like legs protruding from its long torso, its metal structure flowing up and holding its rather small head up by a series of wires protruding from a crescent ascending its shoulders. Its right arm ended in a grotesquely formed double barrel, much like the 'thunder sticks' the poachers were poking him with and occasionally firing near him to watch his fur rise. Its left arm, an arm he would soon know all too well, was more normaly formed, ending in a clawed hand. Eventually the lot grew bored with his tortures, leaving him to ponder what his fate was alone in the cold cage. |
| Major Events | Dec/03/97-- Leonardo loses his arm and his sanity to the Poach Master's robot guard. Dec/16/97-- Peerless awakens to a metal arm and a grinning girl.
